Everett was born in July 1893 in New York State to [[Ivan O. Mackey]] and his wife, Ella. He was likely born in [[Rensselaerville]] where his parents were living at the time.

==Marriage & Children==
On May 21, 1921, Everett married [[Grace May Tallman]], daughter of [[Fletcher D. Tallman]] and [[Alice W. Freleigh]], in the [[Rensselaerville Episcopal Church]] in [[Rensselaerville]]. They had three children:
