==Birth==
Daniel, son of [[Stephen Hungerford]] and Hannah Deval, was born in the town of Berne, Albany county, New York.<ref name="Reynolds">Reynolds, Cuyler, Hudson-Mohawk Genealogical and Family Memoirs, Lewis Historical Publishing Company, Vol. III, pp. 1268-1270 </ref> He was born on December 1, 1797 <ref name="Berne History">Berne NY Family files, www.bernehistory.org </ref>

==Occupation==
He lived on and owned the farm originally settled by his grandfather, now owned by his descendants. He was successful in business. He was a member of the Dutch Reformed church, and a Democrat.<ref name="Reynolds"/>

==Marriage & Children==
He married Hannah Stalker, born in Berne<ref name="Reynolds"/> on February 9, 1800, the daughter of Alexander Stalker and Margaret Martin, on February 26, 1818 at the Helderberg Reformed Church in Guilderland Center, Albany Co., NY<ref name="Berne History"/>

Daniel died on July 20, 1860 and his wife, Hannah died on April 19, 1875.<ref name="Berne History"/> Both are buried at the Mont Pleasant Cemetery in New Salem, Albany Co., NY
