Their child, Frank B. Hess was born in 1869.<br /> <br /> ==Military==<br /> He has a GAR Marker on his grave site. No further evidence of his military service has yet been found. For instance, the 1865 census for Rensselaerville shows Martin Hess age 19 listed in the household with his parents.
