Adam died on October 4, 1901 at Sanford, Florida,<ref name="Civil War Pension Records"> Civil War Pension Records @ Fold3.com</ref>and was buried at the Lakeview Cemetery, Sanford, Seminole Co. Florida. His widow, Emma, received her pension from his Civil War service on January 2, 1902.
