Robert J. Edwards, 64, of Knox, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, (1990) at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany after a lengthy illness.

EDWARDS — Robert J. Edwards, 64, of Knox, died
Tuesday, Sept. 4, at St. Peter's
Hospital in Albany after a
lengthy illness. Born in
Poughkeepsie, he was raised in
Albany. He moved to Knox in
1967.

He served in the U.S. Army
during WW II.

He retired, from the Laborer's
Local #190 in Albany in 1988.

He is survived by his wife,
Janet Abeel Edwards; four sons,
Robert C. of Colonie, Keith S. of
Rotterdam, William J. and
Daniel A. Edwards, both of
Knox; one daughter, Barbara L.
Ward, of Concord, N.H.; and one
brother, Richard T. Edwards, of
Colonie.,Also survived by five
grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be
Friday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. at
Fredendall Funeral Home,
Altamont. Calling hours will be
tonight from 6-8 p.m. Interment
will be in Knox Cemetery, Knox.
Those who wish may. make
contributions to the Altamont
Rescue Squad.
