Ichabod Crippen was the oldest son of John Crippen and was born on August 3, 1765<ref name="Pension File">Revolutionary War Pension application of Mary Whiting Crippen</ref> at Alford, Berkshire Co., MA. <ref name="Bernehistory">Bernehistory.org</ref>
==Military==
Ichabod served as a private in the Revolutionary War under the command of Colonel Dillick for 7 months and 27 days and was honorably discharged.
==Marriage and Children==
Ichabod married on September 18, 1783, Mary Whiting a daughter of John Whiting. She was born on August 25, 1765 in MA. They had the following children:
