==Birth== 
Vertie Lee was born 1874 daughter of [[Joseph Lee]] (B. abt 1841, D. 1918) and [[Emily Hempstead]] (B. 1846, D. 1909).<ref name="Bernehistory">Bernehistory.org</ref>  She had an older brother [[Jarvis R. Lee]] (B. July 1, 1863, D. July 18, 1940).<ref name="Bernehistory"/>

About 1896 she married [[Isaac L. Walden]] (B. abt 1862, D.>1945).<ref name="Bernehistory"/> They had one son, Reade W. Walden who was born 1899 and died 19 Jan. 1925 Schenectady.<ref name="Bernehistory"/> He is buried in [[Woodlawn Cemetery]].<ref name="Bernehistory"/>

==Life==
Vertie went to the Methodist Church.  Her obituary said, "She was blessed with a sunny disposition and her genial smile and friendly way will be greatly missed."<ref name="Obit">Vertie Lee Walden's obituary, Bernehistory.org</ref> 

==Death==
Vertie died 1944 on a Monday morning."<ref name="Obit"/>  A year before her death she had broken a hip."<ref name="Obit"/>  She was buried at [[Woodlawn Cemetery]] in Berne."<ref name="Obit"/><ref name="Bernehistory"/> Her husband survived her."<ref name="Obit"/>
