Death
Peter DeVoe of Thompson's Lake died last Friday (October 14, 1918) morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edna Wright, at Schenectady, after an illness of nine weeks of kidney trouble, aged 74 years.

Peter DeVoe of Thompson's Lake died last Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edna Wright, at Schenectady, after an illness of nine weeks of kidney trouble, aged 74 years. He was the son of Henry and Sarah DeVoe of East Berne. Two brothers and three sisters survive. They are Isaac DeVoe of Schenectady, Ira Devoe of East Berne, Mrs. Elias Gallup of Schenectady, Mrs. Leslie Allen and Mrs. E. O. Van Wie of this village. The funeral was held in the Reformed church at Thompson's Lake on Sunday morning. Burial was in the Thompson's Lake cemetery.

Thompson's Lake
A quiet wedding occurred at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Devoe, April 30 (1896). The bride was their only daughter, Edna, the groom, Avery L. Wright, both of this place. The ceremony took place at eight with the Rev. Henry Lockwood as officiating clergyman. Both are highly respected. Their many friends wish them success and happiness.
