Daniel Lockwood, Jr. was born in Fairfield County, CT in 1779, a son of Daniel Lockwood and Betsey Drummond.

In 1808 in Westerlo, he married Elizabeth ______ who was born at on November 3, 1788. Their known children:
- Eliza Lockwood born November 11, 1809 married Jeremiah Rundell
- Darius Lockwood born December 7, 1813
- Angeline Lockwood, born about 1815, married William M. Palmer
- Zerah Lockwood born October 30, 1816
- Deliann Lockwood, born May 8, 1823, married Uriah De La Mater
Death
He died on March 25, 1862 at Westerlo. Elizabeth died March 25, 1868. Both were buried at the Westerlo Central Cemetery in Westerlo.
