Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by a ceremony at Saratoga National Cemetery at noon.

CLIFTON PARK - Charles A. Palombo, 70, husband of Janet Freer Palombo, died Friday, May 8, 2009. Calling hours will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at a time to be announced. Interment with military honors will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Myron L. Freer of Main St., Pattersonville, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Janet Eleanor, to Charles A. Palombo of Knox, son of Mrs. Gordon Trottor of Knox and Harry M. Palombo of Altamont. Miss Freer is a graduate of Schalmont - Central High school and will attend Spencer Business school. Mr. Palombo is a graduate of Berne-Knox Central High school and is presently employed by Harold G. Anderson Supply Co. of Albany. A June wedding is planned.

In Army School
Charles Palombo, a 1957 graduate of Berne-Knox Central High School, is atgtending the Army Security school at Fort Devens, Mass. Tentative date of graduation is fixed at April 11 (1958) Pvt. Palombo will then be allocated to an overseas position where he will begin his actual practical work.
In High School, Pvt. Palombo served in many class endeavors, which included yearbook, steering committees, and other class activities. He was sports editor of the B-K publication, "Static."
Upon fulfilling his military obligations he plans to enter college as a liberal art's major. Charles is the son of Mrs. Gordon Trotter of Knox and Harry N. Palombo of Township.
